The Arrivals Zone
The structure was designed to sprawl out into the station concourse to form the tourist shop / kiosk / meeting space during the day but able to be efficiently packed away again and stored securely over night. All the units were on wheels (reclaimed, of course, from broken supermarket trolleys and mobile bins).
T-Shirts, products, books, publications etc displayed and on sale outside along with a schedule of the tours available each day. Inside housed a library of Sheffield interest books, a music booth with a record player and Sheffield's finest records and information about the project and the 'Festival of the Mind'
Displaying Kid Acne designed t-shirts along with the 'Sheffield is - Noise, Heat, Power' t-shirts.

The Arrivals Zone 2012,
Sheffield
Collaborative project undertaken during summer 2012 with the Sheffield Publicity Department (SPD - a fake tourist board for Sheffield). The project became a temporary tourist kiosk at the train station that unfolded daily to run tours, sell products and promote what really makes Sheffield special. I was constructed entirely from scrap materials found in the area and designed and built over 2 months.
